Meet some of our worldwide alumni
Nina Bruun
Market Analyst
German degree graduate Nina Bruun is a Market Analyst with HotelBenchmark Deloitte in London. Her work involves analysis and compilation of reports on global hotel performance and providing hotels with benchmarking solutions. HotelBenchmark is the undisputed market leader in monitoring global hotel performance, tracking more than 420 markets in 140 countries on a daily basis.
Beckie Mangen
Functions Coordinator
Beckie completed her Diploma of Event Management in September 2006, and is already a Functions Coordinator with Middle Harbour Yacht Club. She organises their events including weddings, parties, regattas and conferences."The College has given me fantastic ground knowledge. I have also been introduced to people within events industry whom I can liaise with during my entire professional working life."
Kristin Hansen
Destination Manager
Kristin, originally from Norway, completed the Bachelor degree at ICMS followed by the Master of International Business in 2004. She is currently Destination Manager for Worldhotel-link in Cambodia supporting local tourism owners and operators in the developing world. She is also Project Manager for NGO Earthwalkers Fund Cambodia.
Fredrik Johansson
Assistant Director F&B
Fredrik Johannsson is an ICMS degree alumnist from Sweden. He is currently the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at the Sheraton Dongguan Hotel in China. This role includes staff recruitment, forecasting, project leadership, and the daily operation of the hotel's restaurants and events.
Kristen Penny
Tourism Marketing Manager
Following completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration in 2003, Kristin returned to her home town of Mildura, where she is currently employed as the Marketing Manager for Mildura Tourism. Kristin works alongside Tourism Victoria and Tourism Australia in promoting the region - working with newspapers, magazines and even television programs such as The Great Outdoors and Getaway.
Heng Hua
Development Analyst
Originally from China, Hua applied for the Hilton Elevator program through the College in 2004. Since then he has been working in Auckland, China and Singapore. Currently he is Development Analyst in the Singapore Area Office of Hilton Hotel's International division. Hua regularly visits the College whilst in Sydney on business.
Aneta Awadallah
Technical Support & Training Manager
Aneta completed the Bachelor of Business in 2003, and has since been working in IT Management. She is currently at Henry Davies York, one of the top 3 national law firms in Australia, providing technical support to over 400 legal staff.
Alastair Gilchrist
Event Manager
Alastair won an Australian Domestic Student Scholarship to ICMS and was in the College's inaugural Event Management class. Following completion of the Diploma of Event Management in 2005, Alastair has been working with Stu Art Productions, a Sydney based Event Production company.
Johan Passant
Production Manager
Johan completed the Diploma of Hospitality Management at ICMS 2002, and is currently the Production Manager for International Catering Limited (Watermark Group) at Heathrow Airport. Johan manages a team of 100 staff that provides the catering requirements for 21 major airlines and is responsible for complete management of the day to day production.
Helena Lundberg
Marketing and Communications Executive
Originally from Sweden, Helena graduated with the Bachelor of Business in 2002. She has been working in London for the past three years and last year landed her dream job: Marketing and Communications Executive with London Hilton on Park Lane, Hilton's flagship hotel in UK and Ireland.
Jesper Johansson
Education Consultant
Jesper travelled from Sweden to ICMS Australia in 2000, and went on to complete the Bachelor of Business and Master of International Business. Following several managerial positions in international hotels in Australia, Dubai and Scandanavia, he is now an International Education Consultant with GoStudy Sweden.
Dewi Kjelland
Sales Consultant
Dewi completed her Diploma at ICMS in September 2001, and is currently Sales Consultant at Ementor Norway. Ementor is the largest infrastructure solution and product provider in Norway. Dewi is responsible for sales of IT and communication solutions to organisations, as well as account management.
Jane Gamson
Property Manager
Jane Gamson (nee Cunningham) is an ICMS alumnist from Sydney. She graduated with the Bachelor of Business in 2001, and has since been working within the Real Estate Industry. Recently having purchased her own agency, Jane has found the business elements taught in the degree program hugely beneficial in starting out.
Andrew Soo
Airline Marketing Executive
Andrew Soo is an ICMS alumnist from Malaysia. He graduated from the Bachelor program in 2003, and has since been working in tourism. Andrew is currently a marketing executive with Singapore Airlines, one of the most respected travel brands around the world.
Joanne Sproule
Management Trainee Four Seasons
Joanne completed her Bachelor Degree at ICMS in December 2006, and has now begun a Management Traineeship (Rooms Division) at Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney. This is a widely sought after 12-month management program that involves rotation through the various areas of the hotel including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Reservations and Concierge.
